'Kammerspiele'
September 14, 2013 - January 12, 2014
Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht
Berndnaut Smilde exhibits, as artist and guest curator, his personal choice of works from the collection of the Bonnefantenmuseum in a dialogue with his own work. The title of the exhibition, Kammerspiele, is derived from Berndnauts installation in 2012 with the same name. Based on the same old postcard, Berndnaut has realized this installation anew as the pièce de résistance in the museum's main gallery. The German word Kammerspiele can be approximately translated as 'drawing-room theatre': the museum is, as it were, the intimate drawing room where relaxed play is possible.
With works of:
Berndnaut Smilde, Iannis Kounellis, Mario Merz, Roman Signer, Jan Dibbets, Joëlle Tuerlinckx, Luciano Fabro, Michael Krebber, René Daniëls
